Stress/Anxiety
Anxiety is often not as simple as worry, concern, or stress, but rather is complex and often stems from underlying issues like attachment issues, trauma, poor sef-esteem, shame, and low self worth. Maria works with you to identify those layer to get to the root of your anxiety, build awareness, and develop coping mechanisms to confront anxiety and no longer let it debilitate your life.
Grief
Drawing on her hospice care experience, Maria supports both individuals and groups through the pain of loss. She uses an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) , somatic therapy, and mindfulness to help clients face difficult emotions with compassion, walking alongside individuals as they move towards healing and resilience.
Trauma
When working with clients who have experienced trauma, I focus on creating safety, trust, and a pace that feels supportive. I integrate somatic therapy, mindfulness, and depth-oriented approaches to gently process painful experiences, reduce triggers, and help the body and mind feel more regulated. Together, we work toward healing, resilience, and a renewed sense of empowerment.
Depression
Depression can feel isolating, hopeless, and like you're stuck in a life you don't want for yourself. I work with you to understand your personal patterns of depression and how your past may inform how your depression shows up today. Maria guides you in developing greater awarness so that you can stop these patterns of behavior, develop a dialogue of greater self-compassion with yourself, and retrain your brain from negative self-talk to positive self-talk helping to alleviate symptoms of depression.
Low Self-Esteem
Living in a culture that places specific rules on gender, femininity, masculinity, beauty, achievement, monetary success, and developmental milestone can feel crushing to your sense of self worth. Maria works with you to challenge these narrative, discover what true worth means to you, and hold yourself in higher esteem and worth to show up authentically as yourself in this world.

Conflict with individuals that we interact with on a daily basis can feel so challenging and crushing to manage.
